2023 Guys & Dolls Dance Auditions

Charlottesville Opera seeks two male and two female professional dancers for their 46th Season. Performers will participate in four performances of Guys and Dolls at The Paramount Theater. Choreography is under the direction of Catherine Turner. This is a paid opportunity.

Auditions will be held at The Center at Belvedere (540 Belvedere Boulevard, Charlottesville, VA 22901) on Sunday, March 26 from 5:30PM - 6:30PM in the Auditorium (First Floor).
 
The season begins on June 4 for Guys and Dolls. Rehearsals are typically held weekday evenings from 6PM-9PM and Saturday's from 10AM-12:30PM and 1:30PM-4:30PM during the season. (This schedule is subject to change.) Additional pre-season rehearsals will be held in April of 2023.
All performers are required to attend rehearsals during dress week.
*Please note the final dress rehearsals begin at 2PM on a Wednesday.

Monday, June 19: 7pm - 10:30pm Piano Dress
Tuesday, June 20: 7pm - 10:30pm Orchestra Dress
Wednesday, June 21: 2pm - 5:30PM Orchestra Dress
Friday, June 23: 7:30pm Performance #1
Saturday, June 24: 2:00pm Performance #2
Saturday, June 24: 7:30pm Performance #3   
Sunday, June 25: 2:00pm Performance #4
All Performers are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19, a minimum of two weeks prior to the rehearsal period (no later than May 20, 2023).
