Apprentice Singer 2012
I'll always be thankful for my time at Ash Lawn Opera, which was my first experience with a professional opera company. It led me to shift my focus from teaching music in the public schools to pursuing a career in performance. Since my time as an Apprentice Artist at Ash Lawn Opera in 2012, I earned my MM in Opera Performance from the Maryland Opera Studio. Since graduation, I have completed Young Artist residencies with Opera Lafayette and the Crested Butte Music Festival. Now, I maintain a busy performance schedule in opera, oratorio, musical theatre, and recital settings. Recent performance highlights include a recital of Baroque music at the Washington National Cathedral, role debuts as Musetta/La Bohème at the Crested Butte Music Festival and Zerlina/Don Giovanni at Salt Marsh Opera, and Soprano Soloist for Mozart's 'Requiem' with Cathedra Ensemble and the New Orchestra of Washington. Upcoming engagement highlights include Soloist in Händel's 'Israel in Egypt' at the Washington National Cathedral, and my mainstage debut with the Washington National Opera in Francesca Zambello's acclaimed production of Bernstein's 'Candide'
