Sing Me a Story: Achieve Your Dreams with a Team! explores the joys and challenges of working together, demonstrating how communication, collaboration, and mutual respect can turn big dreams into unforgettable performances. With a fresh cast of singers and a mix of opera and musical theater favorites, students will witness firsthand how the arts bring people together across disciplines and experiences.

About Sing Me A Story

​"Sing Me A Story" began in 2022 with a partnership between Charlottesville Opera and The Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Virginia. Over six weeks, opera singers visited the clubs to introduce them to opera, guide them through writing their own story, assist them in building props and costumes, and had them work with singers to develop characters' emotions. At the end of the six weeks, participating students saw their hard work come to life and their new operas performed for their peers.
